Harrods Aviation
Inspired by a lack of professional private aviation services, Harrods Aviation was founded with Mohamed Al Fayed at the controls.
Flawless, faultless and polished to perfection, Mr Al Fayed wanted Harrods Aviation to surpass all expectation. It has.
Since its inception into the industry in 1995, Harrods Aviation has seen business soar, most impressively at its London Luton base, where its market share has rocketed from 10% to 60%.
Celebrated services
Perhaps the most celebrated service of Harrods Aviation is its aircraft handling operations at London Luton, and London Stansted airports. Aircraft sales and maintenance are also provided in Harrods Aviation purpose-built hangars.
It’s all in a name
It wasn’t until 2003 that Harrods Aviation was crowned with its present title, waving farewell to the name it was born with, Metro Business Aviation. This re-launch marked the acquisition of Hunting Business Aviation, and paid tribute to the uncompromising quality achieved by the business that is so inherent in the Harrods brand.
It is now the leading London-based FBO (fixed base operator) business aviation service provider.
Mohamed is Honorary Chairman of the Harrods Group.
