HJW Geospatial

Born from a cartographer and forester’s idea to use aerial photography to map and manage woodlands, HJW Geospatial made its name in image mapping, land measurement and display of geospatial information.

It was an instant success and has sustained an impressive share of the market for over fifty years.

A universal theme

Bought by Chevron oil, and later acquired by Mohamed Al Fayed, the California-based company has gone from strength to strength. Much of its success is attributed to the strength of the service it offers its clients - a universal theme that is reflected in all of Mr Al Fayed’s businesses.

Golden GateFocusing predominantly on aerial and terrestrial surveying in remote parts of the world, in oil-bearing terrain, its clients are as diverse as their applications.

In 2001, HJW Geospatial was renamed as HJW Geospatial Inc. It is Mr Al Fayed’s only US business investment.
